LAHORE: Qadianis should be allowed to preach their ideology in Pakistan, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain told a private TV channel on Tuesday.
During an interview on Express News with mubashir lucman, He made a very bold statement which will be very harmfull for his politics and party. I and most of the people of pakistan condemned this statement that he said politics and religion should be kept separate. He said he would establish a mosque, a church, a Hindu temple and a ‘Qadiani mosque’ if the MQM came into power. He also said the country’s name should be ‘Peoples’ Pakistan’ and people should choose whether it should be an Islamic Republic or a Peoples’ Republic.

What I don’t get it is, why is that such a harmful thing to say? Can non muslims (if you may so call them) not be allowed to practice their religion? Yet we expect the west to allow us to practice our religion freely?

It is unfortunate that there are Muslims (and more unfortunate that there are humans) like you in Pakistan. One should not be surprised why we have all these problems in Pakistan and why Islam is branded as an intollerant religion. If you do not respect someone else’s beliefs, why do you expect that your beliefs should be respected by the others. For God sake, please, if you can’t agree, at least agree to disagree and let this world be a peaceful place.
When you take pride in abusing someone who is considered a respecable prophet by a group of people, how can you condemn the western media when they publish the carricatures of the Holy Prophet. They also do not believe in his Prohet-hood and consider him no differently than you consider the prophet of this other group of people. There is no different in the moral standards of the western media people and you!

It is said that Christians and Hindus are living peacefully in Pakistan. Please get a Christian from Gojra to verify that this statement is correct. Find a Hindu from inner Sind and ask him if he is living peacefully in Pakistan. Minorities whether they are Ahmadis or not are humiliated and denied their fundamental rights in Pakistan on a daily basis. Are Hindus, Christians or Sikhs allowed to preach and propagate their religion in Pakistan?
Altaf Hussain is correct. Politics and religion could only be one if there were no sects in Islam. As that is not the case politics and religion have to be separated otherwise the government in Pakistan will the government of a sect and that sect will try to force others to follow its thinking. Look at what happened when Zia tried to implement zakat. Shias rioted and refused to pay. The government let them off without paying Zakat. Many Sunnis claimed to be Ahmadis so that they did not have to pay zakat. Then others said the system was a hanafi system and they followed other sects such as hunbali and malki etc. The court decided that zakat should not be deducted from these people either. Did this not make the whole thing a joke?

If Qadianis are non muslims, let them practice and preach whatever they believe. The matter of ones faith is between the man and Creator. No one is permitted to judge as Allah has reserved it for Himself to decree at the day of judgement. It should be a free thinking, you cannot be the guardian of the society and impose upon your point of view and not let others put forth theirs. This is the pivotal point of Freedom of speech and clearly mentioned in the holy Quran: La Iqrah fid deen, also pronounced in the last hajj sermon by Holy Prophet of Islam who knew that his Umma will be tested for this in the later days.
Now tell me how many books you have read and did you embark on fact finding mission or just read the one side of the distorted story. For God sake walk the talk and do some research before opinining on the subject.
Its proved that Qadiyanis are Non-Muslim. if they want their life in pakistan then they have to accept that they are qadiyanis but the matter is that all the time they claims that they are muslim and all non-qadiyanis are non-muslim.

Zahid who have proved Qadianis are non-Muslims? Your saying we are non-Muslims does not make us non-Muslims. In fact by using the term Qadiani you are violating the Holy Quran which says call people by the names they like! We call ourselves Ahmadis using the second name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
BTW there are two groups in “Qadianis”. One, called Lahori, believe that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a mujaddid (reformer) and that all those who recite the kalima are Muslims. I belong to this group.

According to this Qadiyani(Ahmedi or lahori) are non-muslim because they are followers of mirza ghulaam ahmed qadiyani and he refused the finality of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon Him). If you are not agree with me. answer me isnt mirza proclaimed that he was the promised Messiah and Mahdi, ???
Zahid amendment was passed by the party whose members themselves had been declared to be kafirs by religious leaders of Pakistan. Most of them drank, committed adultery and engaged in all manner of non-Islamic behaviour.
According to this definition of a Muslim the Sunnis are kafirs as well because they believe that a prophet will appear after the Holy Prophet Muhammad i.e. Jesus will come again.
YES Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was the promised Messiah and Mahdi but you also believe that a Messiah and Mahdi will come. Will they be prophets when they come? If the Messiah and Mahdi will be prophets when they come then you also do not believe in the finality of prophethood.
As for the constitution it is not a Divine book that we must accept.

You have not answered my questions.
Do you believe that Jesus will come again and a Mahdi will also appear? By your own argument these people will be prophets because you say that Hazrat Mirza shaib’s claim to being the promised Messiah and Mahdi meant that he was claiming prophethood. So all Sunnis deny the finality of prophethood and are, according to the Pakistani constitution, kafirs.
As for for angles the Holy Quran says angles come to non-prophets and non-prophets also receive wahy.
Hazrat Mirza sahib never wrote any book called Tabligh-i Risalat or Ruhani Khazain. As for prophecies they need interpretation and Hazrat Mirza sahib’s prophecies were fulfilled. You are simply relying on anti-Ahmadi web sites and do not have any knowledge yourself. If you have these books please scan the pages in full so the context of the quotations can be seen.
Read Martin Lings Book about the life of the Holy Prophet in which he says that (nauzbillah) the Holy Prophet kept women without marrying them. Is this not insulting the Holy Propeht? Sunnis openly say this kind of thing openly in their books.

dear as far as the coming of imam mehdi and jesus it must be stated that the written sayings of the prophet muhammad reveals that imam mehdi is only a leader of the muslim ummah at the times of trouble and he is the last great leader of this ummah after him there will be no great leader and then it will only be qayamat. ok.
as far as the coming of jesus it must be remembered that the prophet muhammad said that the jesus will come and he will pray in the jamia damishq and that prayer will be presided by the imam of that mosque not the jesus. so it is evident that the jesus will be following the prophethood of muhammad, he will not be a prophet himself.

It is no surprise that we (pakistanis) are labelled as ‘backward’. Anyone who has any doubts can quickly go thru the posts above and conclude so. All we have done from 1947 is played the blame game. In every area. Be is sports, politics or even religion for that matter.
Fighting on who is a muslim and who isn’t should be left to god. To each his own. You will be answerable for your deeds not for someone else’s deeds. You preach and you lead by example and NOT taunt others over their beliefs. Infact learn to respect them. We have created so many different sects amongst ourselves on the simplest of issues. Why can’t we learn to look at the similarities rather than the differences and live in peace? Is this the Islam that was taught to us? For God’s sake try to understand this fact- when muslims were super powers and ruled the world they didn’t go arround banning others from practicing their religion. They lived with jews and christioan in complete harmony. Tolerance will make Islam more appealing to non muslims and this attitude will help spread it rather than hard line approach. Where, in this world Muslims, are not allowed to practice or preach their religion. Muslims can preach in America, europe, australia even stinkin Indians do not stop muslims from doing so. Have we come down to such nadar of Humanity that we will strip our own Nationals the right to practice their religion freely. We might not agree to what they say but we should always defend their right of saying it. Islam is a beautiful religion and Allah will protect it. Don’t be insecure Truth will prevail.
Also from a strategic perspective we should try and avoid actions that would lead pockets of our sciety to be discontent.Such actions may inlude unfare distribution of resources or religious intolerance, hence any action that would deny the citizens their basic human rights. Discontent groups in a society are most vulnerable to be exploited by your enemies and cause your nation harm. I see a lot of iranis who were discontent from their system got assylum in western countries. They were Brain washed and now are being used aginst their own countries as spies. The Group I am refering to are bHai religious group in Iran. Their story and situtaion is similar to Ahmadis in Pakistan and I amafraid at some point in time thay will be used too. The only way to ensure that Ahmadis are not used against Pakistan is to ensure that we donot deny them their basic right of freedom of religion so that they can take pride in being Pakistanis and be loyal to their countries.
As for Mr. Altaf and MQM, The difference between a common man and a great leader is that the later can envision how our actions today will effect us tomorrow. He was the one who opposed Taliban when all were supporting it. Than the country withessessed the horror of a Radical ideologies and started supporting military actions against them. He is right this time too. It is ionly that massess will take time to realize this I am hopeful that in near future we will have a tolerant Muslim society that knows how to give love and respect to all its people, regardless of religion or language.

It is not a matter of muslims and non muslims. Qadiani’s have invented a religion for them and it is a believe of every true muslim that qadiani’s are murtid. Any other non muslim will claim himself as hindu, christian, jews etc. but qadiani disguise themselves and portray as muslims. That’s why i totally disagree with any statement to allow qadiani’s preaching their religion in Pakistan. As a matter of fact that idea was propagated by so called liberal NGO’s. I tell u Islam is only meant by Islam in its true sense. There is no room for modern or librel Islam. So it strongly required that every muslim should condemn these sorts of statements for the betterment of its Akhirat.
If someone think that by allowing preaching qadianis their religion would become peace in country, he may live in fool’s paradise. qadianis are the actual threat to Islam and Pakistan. Major portion of all lawlessness in our country is due to them.
When muslims were super powers yes they allowed non muslims to preach thier religion and they converted into muslims by only the way of living and hnesty of muslims. But it is true for non muslims who claimed themselves as non muslims not for these sorts of imposters (qadianis). If any one have doubt in it he would have to refer the period of khilafat and the judgement of Hazrat Abu Bakr (Razi Allah u Anh).

Who says Messiah and Mehdi will be prophet ? Hazrat Medhi will come as a mujadid in the Umma of Prophet Muhammad SAWW and Hazrat Essa will also come as a Ummati. After Prophet Muhammad SAWW no one can say that he is a prophet. who ever is says that he is a prophet that person is Wajib-ul-Qatal.
